About
I started in between services, in a local restaurant. That is still how I work: in the kitchen, at the pace of the brigade, without getting in the way.
A good dish is already a composition. My job is to find the light that shows it, and the moment the plate is still alive.
Photography runs in the family. I carry that with me, and I am proud of it.
For the Smaken van series I photographed in the kitchens of nearly every starred restaurant in Groningen, Friesland, Drenthe, Overijssel and Gelderland.
What I make
- Dishes and menu – images for website, menu, press and guides.
- Chef and brigade – portraits and reportage in the kitchen.
- Dining room and atmosphere – interior, table and evening light.
- Social media – images tailored to Instagram and ads, per shoot or ongoing.
